Never say never

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how much life can change in a short amount of time, and how sometimes the hardest decisions are also the ones that lead us exactly where we are meant to be

After 10 years in public education, I am stepping into a new chapter of my life and career. While this transition has brought mixed emotions, not every step has been as terrifying as I imagined it would be. During this time, I realized that my heart is pulling me toward something bigger.

What better time to announce this new journey than on the heels of Autism Awareness Month? This chapter is not a departure from what I love; it is actually a return to the heart of it — a return to the work that first inspired me, but now with more experience, more perspective, and even greater purpose behind it.

What many people may not know is that my roots in autism support began long before my district role. My journey started in 2010, working directly with individuals with autism and their families. That work became more than a profession; it became something deeply personal to me. Over the years, that connection has only deepened, shaping the way I approach support, advocacy, and positive change for children and families.

I’m excited to have the opportunity to help more families, collaborate in new ways, and continue building something from the heart. There is so much I hope to create, and for the first time in a while, I feel truly energized by what is possible.

More than anything, I’m excited to share this journey with the people who have supported me along the way. Your encouragement has mattered, even in moments when you may not have realized it. This season feels like both an ending and a beginning, and I’m choosing to see it as growth. I truly believe the best is still ahead.

As this new chapter unfolds, I’ll also be using this space to blog about topics related to autism, special education, behavior analysis, and real-world challenges and victories that come with supporting children and families. Stay tuned….
